NIA Comments:
Nia has brought to me a new level of
health and happiness. Nia with Kate truly nurtures the joy of
movement, and allows me to tap into my inner child playfulness.
Kate channels that positive energy which allows one to attain
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance. ~

I was tired of walking on
treadmills and was bored with the same old aerobics classes when I
stumbled upon Nia. Nia classes turned out to be fun, very
uplifting, and a great workout. ~ C.Peterson Durham, NC
Kate's Nia class is
amazing! I expected a great workout. What I didn't expect was
just how energized these classes make me feel. When I heard
about the class, I thought it was a great idea to
integrate diverse disciplines including dance, martial arts and
yoga to create an exercise program that is as nourishing to my
soul as my body. Now that I have been attending the classes, I
feel the program is even better than I expected. I also find that
classes with Kate are a hoot! She brings the same passion and
energy with which she leads her life to the classes and it makes
them wacky and wonderful. She shares her goofy sense of humor
with the class and has such fun herself. It keeps me in the
moment and very glad I've discovered Kate's Nia! ~

Nia felt to me a bit like dancing
in my living room with a group of friends--except this was a
room full of people I had never previously met! It was
low-pressure and high fun, even sometimes silly, with a dash of
imagination thrown in for good measure. I would recommend Nia
most highly for people who feel a bit of internal dance bubbling
beneath the surface but haven't yet found out how to express it,
who might be a bit shy to get out on a dance floor and get their
groove on without some direction. With this Nia class
there was both choreography, somewhat like an aerobics class,
but with space for freedom as well. Nia seems like it
would be appropriate for any skill level, from beginner to
professional dancer, and any fitness level, from couch potato to
Iron Man triathlete. ~
